Onnit Academy Gym, also known as Defranco’s Gym at Onnit Academy, is an innovative new fitness facility that combines cutting edge technology with a modern version of ancient training techniques using steel maces, steel clubs, and kettlebells. Onnit Academy Gym offers Whole Body Cryotherapy using a cutting edge Cryosauna unit. This high tech, single person chamber exposes the users body to extremely low temperatures (approximately -200 to -240 F) in order to stimulate receptors and rapidly decrease skin temperature.
Onnit Academy’s cryotherapy chamber has already been used by a variety of NFL athletes and hopefuls that have taken part in the gym’s Combine Preparation Program developed by Joe Defranco. Professional athletes are acutely aware of the benefits of cryotherapy to reduce recovery time, muscle soreness, and joint pain.
Austin Gym’s Cryosauna Cryotherapy Unit
The Cryosauna unit used at Onnit Academy was developed by Jonas Juehne, M.D., the first physician to bring non-medical cyrotherapy treatments to North America with his company Cryohealth.
