Summary
When learning how to fight, an integral part of the process is creating a flow between your hand placement and footwork. At Bang Muay Thai we use the Back Em Up Drill to work on this. The Back Em Up Drill is a drill consisting of three combos in a one-for-one pattern. This means that you would go through the three combos, then your partner would repeat the drill. Today, with the help of Chirs Holdsworth, I am going to demonstrate the following combos:
Combo 1: Jab, Jab, Cross
Combo 2: Jab, Hook, Cross
Combo 3: Hook, Jab, Cross
Tips: The purpose of this drill is to get your opponent backing up with the first two punches, while using the next one to land a strike.
